Anna is a talented writer with a lifetime of experience in the storytelling arts. She grew up acting professionally on TV, stage and radio, graduating from NIDA‘s Young Actor’s Studio at 19.
Anna kicked off her writing career from the tender age of 8, writing stories for Channel 9’s Here's Humphrey and TEN’s Mulligrubs. She now holds a Masters Degree in Professional Writing.
She is author of the book Dating Disasters, which sold in the thousands across Australia and England and was translated into German.
She drummed up tens of thousands of Aussie women readers as editor of www.shesaid.com and won thousands more readers over with her 2008 national blog Squanderlust in www.news.com.au’s Money section. Anna’s blog gave her a media profile as a “young frugal.” She was interviewed by dozens of radio stations, 10 News, Madison, Body and Soul and Notebook. Anna's freshly coined word “Squanderlust” now pops up on Google with more than 28,000 hits.
Anna is always on the hunt for a good story. Seven years of lifestyle journalism have given her razor sharp research skills. As an interviewer she is quick, insightful and off the cuff.
A passionate food and wine writer, Anna has profiled some of Australia’s top chefs, wine makers and restaurants; contributing to Masters of Cuisine, Winestate magazine, the Australian, the Citysearch Visitor’s Guide, The Great Australian Restaurant Guide, That’s Shanghai,Sydney Eats, Sydney Where and the brand new Hide&Seek Sydney. Travel writing has taken Anna everywhere from rock climbing in Southern China to private pool plunging in five star Fiji to wining and dining in Tuscany. Most recently she has bumgee jumped and sky-dived in New Zealand as well as snowboarding in Colorado.
Anna’s career recently came full circle, offering her the chance to fulfil a lifelong dream when she became a Kids’ TV Presenter for the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Anna will continue to support not-for-profit organisations across the world. She regularly MCs events for charities across Sydney.
